We here at Chekoh believe motherhood doesn't have to just be all elastic waistbands, granny undies up to your armpits and sensible shoes (don't diss the $5 Kmart undies currently seeing me through 2.5 years post partum). When you've got feeding/tummy/feet friendly clothing and footwear plus super comfortable, breathable and oh-so-stylish designer baby carriers, it's time for a photo montage!
Kate Single (@ladykatos) is not only a haircutter extraordinaire, she is mama to a brand new baby girl, Stevie. While Krystal - ever the multi-tasking business-woman - popped Stevie in a wrap so she could continue slaying the day away, I popped some dewy, fresh makeup on the naturally flawless mama ("while I'm doing your mascara Kate, just look straight at my pigmentation and broken capillaries") and we got shooting!
Floral Stripe Delight
First off the mark we have the very casual and comfortable delicately-floralled (is that a word? It is now!) top by Bohemian Traders, paired back with the trusty denim cut-offs. The gentle pattern of our Grey Stripe Wrap sets off against this cool, calm floral, finished with the white laser-cut sandal from Toowong Shoe Emporium. A perfect inter-seasonal outfit, with summer just around the corner!
Wild & Wooly
Live in Melbourne or anywhere else that has four seasons in one day? Love day-to-night fashion? Often a 'cold frog'? Then you MUST have one of these cardigans. We have paired our statement piece Leopard Wrap with a very simple gauze tube dress, a LOC hat, this oversized, soft and cozy cardigan by Blossom & Glow and some beautiful Italian Leather peep-toe wedges. Smile courtesy of myself, in my active-wear and 'sexy crocs' (ahem Oofos Recovery Shoes) dancing goofily to Kate's right.
Black Stripes & Harem Nights
Kate, at eight days post-partum, needed a breather to feed little Stevie, and she managed ((like the rockstar that she is) to do it in her Chekoh mid-shoot. What you can't see in this picture is the beautiful Bohemian Traders top, how it is actually an off-the-shoulder style with optional tassel shoulder straps - PERFECT for feeding on the go (while still remaining effortlessly stylish). The drop-crotch pants are a staple BT fave and have the instant ability of adding a casual element to a dressy top-and-shoe combo. Voila!
And...That's A Wrap!
It appears our Fawn Wrap was made for Kate - it makes her already glowing self, even more radiant when paired with this beautiful Bohemian Traders wrap dress. This little number is such a dream piece - for both pregnancy and post-partum (especially if you're breastfeeding) - and hides all manner of sins (if not shaving your legs for months on end can be considered a sin...guilty!). This wrap dress, with it's teeny floral print, can pretty much be matched with any of our carriers, effortlessly. Paired with some Ziera shoes from Toowong Shoe Emporium, for cloud-like cushioning under foot, this outfit can easily step from day to night.
