Meet Alicia, Mum to beautiful Gamilaraay and Polynesian babes - Frankie Mae and Keanu Haze. You may know her from Instagram, over on @my.little.dhiiyaan

We caught up with this busy Gold Coast Chekoh Mama to talk about life as a stay at home mum, the joys of babywearing and her journey through parenthood so far.

Tell us a little bit about your family?

Alicia and her beautiful family (my.little.dhiiyaan)
My name is Alicia, my partners name is Neil and we are parents to 2 beautiful kids - Frankie (almost 2) and Keanu (4 months). Im a stay at home Mum for now, but am in the early stages of starting my own business and Neil is a plumber. We live in Gold Coast and love getting out and about.

How has baby wearing helped you?

Baby wearing is a very common practice in my culture (Aboriginal) and is an absolute necessity to me - not only do I get to enjoy a closer bond to Nu but it has helped me get work done in the house, Nu is very clingy so being able to wear him allows me to get the housework done. I am also able to run around after Frankie and not have to worry about a crying baby. I baby wore Frankie and I’ve been baby wearing Nu since he was a newborn.

When or where is your fave time to wear your little one?

Anytime, all day everyday! I have no preference or limit 🥰

What has been the highlight of your journey through parenthood so far?

Bonding siblings - so cute.
I have two.
1. Giving birth, as painful as it was I really enjoyed it and felt so empowered. Then holding your baby for the first time is a feeling you can’t even describe.
2. Watching Frankie and Keanu bond 🥰
