Meet Jess, social worker, wife and Mama from the NSW South Coast! 🤍
We love getting to know all the wonderful Chekoh Mama's out there, so we caught up with this beautiful Mama to get to know a little bit more about her, her family and life as a parent in Australia.
Let's jump right in!
So, tell us a little bit about your family?
I am married to the life of my life Andreas and we have two delightful babies - Mabel (18 months) and Atticus (5 weeks). We live on the South Coast of NSW with the four of us and our hyper chocolate lab, Zuri.
How has babywearing helped you?
I first discovered babywearing when Mabel was a newborn and it gave me freedom to get out and about in an active lifestyle, but the past 5 weeks with Atticus coming to join us babywearing has been a whole new level of LIFESAVING. Wearing Atticus has meant I have hands free to play and engage with my toddler and cuddle them both. It’s also made getting out of the house with two easier - it’s quicker than hauling the double pram out of the car. Wearing Atticus for some of his naps has helped calm him when I don’t have time or energy to be in a room settling him in a cot!
When or where is your favourite time to wear your little one?
While out in the garden watching Mabel play, at the park, around the house during unsettled periods, and let’s be real, sometimes on the toilet (mum life seriously).
What has been the highlight of your journey through parenthood so far?
Seeing Mabel love on baby Atticus warms my heart - it has to be one of the best feelings in the world to know I am giving Mabel one of the best gifts I can give her - a friend to grow up with.
Thank you for being our Mama Muse this week Jess!
