Meet Yvette.
New Mama to Olivia, dog Mama to Ted and fiancé to Chris 🤍
We caught up with Yvette to talk all things parenthood and babywearing, here is what she had to say:
Tell us a little bit about your family?
My name is Yvette and I’m a first time mum living with my fiancé Chris, our 5 month old daughter Olivia and our Labrador Ted on the Sunshine Coast. We love getting out and exploring nature together as a family.

How has babywearing helped you?
As a first time mum you have to learn to adjust to the new world of motherhood. Baby wearing helps me every single day to be able to have my freedom to do what I need to and accomplish tasks. I know that I can settle my baby, have her nap with me and still have the freedom to use both hands to go to the shops or just take the washing in. I struggled with anxiety around taking a baby out in to the world alone when Chris went back to work but baby wearing makes being a solo mama so much easier and achievable.

When or where is your favourite time to wear your precious little one?
I adored wearing my daughter as a newborn in a wrap carrier, she felt so close and almost as if I was pregnant again with her. The 4th trimester is so real and they just want to be with you all the time. Currently, I love wearing bub in my Clip carrier on bushwalks or trips along the beach. I love that we literally go anywhere with a baby while wearing them!

The highlight of your journey through parenthood so far?
The highlight of my parenthood so far has been the joy of introducing Liv to her family and friends and seeing her bond with her daddy. She is getting to an age where she can interact with us so much now and it’s amazing to watch her personality blossom. It’s something I dreamt about for so long before I met her. 🤍
